Children work with concrete objects to identify words that rhyme, listen for shared ending sounds, and then connect the objects to their corresponding written labels.

Each set contains 10 complete rhyming sets, with two rhyming words in each of five different phonogram families. Digital word labels are included so you can print the labels you need for your classroom.

How It Works

Present the objects to the child and invite them to find the objects that rhyme. Once the rhyming pairs have been identified, introduce the written labels and match each label to its corresponding object.

The concrete objects give children a hands-on way to explore sound patterns in words before connecting those words to print.
